Ask questions, shoot out ideas, and keep the talk in here. I will try and keep it updated as we learn new things. So far we know: It has an October 2009 release date Street Team/mailing list matter will be started after it's out The album will be called Signs of Infinite Power It contains tracks named "Gargantuan March" and "Webfoot/Witch Hat" So far we would like to hear: Extended bass solo More songs about cars A prescription for this damn fever! But I am a fan of the older stuff... the bowel shaking, fuzzed out, mid tempo cow bell rock that they mastered on "Daredevil", "In Search of", and the "Action is Go"... "King of the Road" was pretty damn good too, and "Godzilla \ Eating Dust" had moments of pure genius. I think the new album needs more cowbell... and slow it down a bit guys. Why so fast? Are you in a hurry? Mu Fanchu Rules!

WMO is fu manchu at their best! dark songs, feel good songs, slow and doomy songs, fast songs stoner riffs and punkrock riffs, fuzz sounds united to a very special fu record. there ist nothing more we can ask for. but yeah..please a little bit more cowbell haha and a live dvd.

I am a long time Fu fan... been listening to them ever since I saw them open up for Monster Magnet when Daredevil first came out. I was in University then... and pretty baked at the time, so I don't remember too much of the show... But I remember thinking "I have found the mothership" when I heard the heaviness! Then I went out and spent $30 buying the import daredevil CD (because it wasn't availble anywhere in Toronto as a domestic at that point). And $30 was a lot of money to me back then when I was a student!!! I have been supporting them and buying their CD's for 10+ years now! And yes, I actually go to the record store and buy their CD's! I don't download their music (but I do download most other music I listen too...). And I buy their CD's because I want to support the band... And I want the artwork, and the whole package. And the last few CD's haven't been easy to find at the average record store either!!! ... or at least not where I live (in the burbs now...)/ Even though I am not as big a fan of the past few albums doesn't mean that I don't still like them and support them. The fact that they are still releasing albums and touring the world in this currently state of Pop music (and boy band reunions), shows how dedicated they are, and how dedicated their fans are (including me). I have seen them live 5 times now, and met them (and they are super cool). So, I thought this thread was about what the fans wanted to hear on the new album? And I want to hear some slow fuzzed out cowbell rock... damn it!!! Viva le Daredevil!!! And by the way... why the hell didn't Fu come to Toronto on this last Tour??? They were just recently in Quebec... but not Toronto. Quebec isn't Canada!!! Shame shame shame. I would have even put them up at my place! PS, If there is anyone here from Quebec.... i know I just opened a can of worms and I am sorry. But Fuck you. I want my Fu!!!! Mu Fanchu Rules!

I completely agree with him on getting back to the pre KOTR sound. But that's just what I like. And the boys ought to throw a Rare Earth cover on the new album too, all fuzzed out and heavy.
