gusto/fredo was fun. that place was DEAD. like 10 total people there maybe. i was too faded to converse with anyone....straight zombied. and yeah....oliveri
never showed up. so after gusto....it was over. maybe he didn't show up because of a drug problem that never existed?!?!? he was supposed to do a solo
acoustic set....then a mondo set.......we got nada. and no....no need for oliveri back with queens. fuck that. he ruined his chances. you can't fuck up
chances to work with talented people.

I think it is partial coincidence that QOTSA went downhill after Nick was gone. I remember Josh bragging that Lullabies was recored in like a week. Guess what? It sounds like it. and lets face it he has had a lot of other things on his mind in the past few years. In my humble opinion, the best thing that JH can do for the next album is bring back Lanegan for at least two or three songs. That seems to free him up to focus on other aspects of making a record. but you have to admit to two "post Oliveri" records have been pretty flat...like I said, mostly a coincidence.. |
